Women and Children’s Programs

Center Point's innovative, gender-responsive, trauma informed program provides a comprehensive array of services for pregnant women and women with children who face homelessness, unemployment, trauma, abuse, domestic violence, criminal behavior, mental health and substance use disorders. Women and children's programs provide services to families in California and Oklahoma. Program graduates have achieved remarkable success: 70% of the women remained employed and reunited with their families following completion of the program; over 90% remained abstinent and free of child welfare involvement; over half had regained custody of their minor children; and more than 85% were employed and had secured stable housing.

Center Point's Women and Children's programs serve over 120 mothers, infants and children each year. In California, pregnant women and women with children of up to 6 years reside in family-style units for 3 to 6 months and in specialized transitional housing for up to 24 months. In September 2002, Center Point expanded women and children's treatment services to include gender-responsive outpatient services in Marin, creating a more comprehensive continuum of care. Our Female Offender Treatment and Employment Program (FOTEP), in Fair Oaks, continues Center Point's tradition of offering a safe environment where women are treated with dignity and respect.
